Before you enquire
Start by distinguishing an overnight sitter from a short home visit. Put feeding, medication instructions from your vet, access arrangements and emergency contacts in writing. Ask who will actually attend, whether there is backup cover and how long your pet will be alone between visits. Tell the sitter about each animal’s behaviour and needs before agreeing to the arrangement.
